Jul 2010 – Chatta is foolin' around

Some people say Boone only does cover tunes... well this is his answer!

"Everybody haffi ask: why yuh cover songs...?"

Jul 2010 – Chatta is back

We get loads of requests about when the debut album will be released. Since Boone is pretty busy - even outside of the studio - he decided to at least release an EP later this year. Until then, we keep bustin' out a few free tracks right here.

His brand new joint is called "In Berlin". After successfully covering Vybz Kartel & Movado tunes, this is a next lyrical refix. This time inspired by Ding Dong ft. Chevaughn's "Holiday".

In the tradition of "Berlin Yard" this song is kind of a successor of Boone's hit from 2009, which was one of the best 3 national songs judged by the readers of RIDDIM Magazine. It's a true summer anthem, in a truly hot summer, dedicated to his hometown - well, guess...

Apr 2010 – Dancin in the Rain Video

It's about time to release a new banger - and here it is! Boone Chatta's new song "Dancin In The Rain" is out and comes along with a video. Watch it and if you like it, forward the song to your friends, neighbor, grandma, tax advisor and even your goldfish!

FREE DOWNLOAD: Boone Chatta - Dancin In The Rain

The song was produced by mastermind Jr. Blender, Germany's best Reggae/Dancehall producer, co-produced and written by Boone Chatta.

Boone Chatta about the song and video:

"In May 2009 at Berlin Carnival we (meaning Soca Twins) played in front of about 5.000 frenzy people who were following our truck all along the road. When we almost reached the end of the track, it suddenly started to rain. And I don't mean a few drops, the heavens opened and it was pouring down on us. People started to run around like crazy searchin for a roof like their life was in danger. My DJ Franky tried to cover up our CD Box, dry the players and entertain the crowd at the same time. I myself was soaking wet, worrying about the mic. But when I looked behind us there were still hundereds of people behind the truck. They were dancing and jumping in the heavy rain! It was mindblowing - one of the best experiences of my life.

Now when I first heard the instrumental of the song it reminded me of this unique happening. Altough it's not my usual type of music, I had to do this song. When it was finished, I thought that it might need a video to support the songs' feeling. So I went on YouTube and looked up videos, captured them and cut everything in one night. Of course it's not high definition, but it's real. In my opinion no professional video with a million dollar budget could have transported this original feeling better. I thought of all the people who love to dance in the rain from time to time, just like when we were children."

"It might seem strange, but we dancin in the rain..."

Jun 2009 – Boone´s "Berlin Yard" Music Video release!

Yes, the tune was released a month ago. Now here's the video to "Berlin Yard", where Boone is representing for his home town Berlin, the capital of Germany.

The video was produced by Nippes Yard Productions. The Song is on the "Miss Independent Riddim" inspired by Ne-Yo, Vybz Kartel and Spice.

Boone Chatta about the video:

"It's a love song... 'cause I definitely love my home town Berlin. It's good, bad and ugly. The video is kept as real as can be. You wont see any posing, bling bling, gangsters, no pitbulls, nude girls and big cars. Just me and friends.

Also, I didn't want to show all the known tourist spots in Berlin like the TV Tower or Brandenburger Tor, which you'll normally see in the videos. Instead, you'll see the real thing! Places you can actually find me at. And of course we had to show some left over pieces of the famous Berlin Wall, which I relate to in the song.

We had lots of fun shooting the video and I hope this feeling translates when you watch it. And if you come to visit Berlin..."

Welcome Inna De Berlin Yard!

Apr 2009 – Busy in the studio!

In the last months, Boone has been busy recording new tunes and working with producers from Barbados, St. Luica and Antigua. Some of these tunes, will be released as Singles soon.
